Assist

Randomly selects and uses one of the moves of the trainer's other Pokémon.

Assist select a random move from the available moves of the user's ally Pokémon (even if not in battle).
Moves can be more than once in the selectable list of moves if more than one Pokémon know that move, making it more likely.
Assist can not called a move known by a fainted Pokémon or a move that has no PP left.
Assist does not account for move disabling effects on the ally Pokémon such as Heal Block and call their moves even if the original owner can not.

• In Gen 5 Assist can also call moves that are known by an unhatched egg.
• From Gen 8 onwards this move can not be selected in battle.
