Sketch

Permanently becomes the target's last used move.

Sketch permanently copies the target's last used move and replaces itself in the process.
Sketch bypasses accuracy and evasion checks to always hit except in the semi-invulnerable turn of moves such as Dig and Fly.
The following abilities can be sketched but are not usable in combat:

• Hyperspace Fury (only usable by Hoopa in its unbound form).
• Dark Void (only usable by Darkrai )
• Tera Starstorm (the signature move of Terapagos )
• The moves above can be used if the user Transforms into them.
• Revival Blessing
• Wicked Torque (the signature move of the Segin Starmobile)
• Blazing Torque (the signature move of the Schedar Starmobile)
• Noxious Torque (the signature move of the Navi Starmobile)
• Magical Torque (the signature move of the Ruchbah Starmobile)
• Combat Torque (the signature move of the Caph Starmobile)

Moves that faint the user after exploding can only be copied if a Pokémon with the ability Damp is active (Explosion and Self-Destruct).
Sketch will fail these conditions:

• The user already knows that move
• The last used move was:
  • Chatter
  • Mirror Move
  • Sleep Talk
  • Struggle
  • Sketch
  • any Shadow -type Move
  • any Z-Move
  • various other moves that depend on the specific game generation

• In Gen 2 there is a bug that allows the user to replace Sketch with a move permanently (by using it while being Transformed).
• In Gen 2-3 Sketch can not copy Transform, Metronome or Mimic
• In RubySapphire there is a bug that allows Sketch to copy a move that was failed due to sleep (including the 3 moves listed above)
• In SwordShield Sketch can not be used in battle.
• In early versions of ScarletViolet Sketch can not be used in battle (usable again as of version 3.0.0)
