Effect Summary
Blocks damaging attacks and lowers attacking Pokémon's
Attack
by two stages on contact. Switches
Aegislash
to Shield Form.
Detailed Effect
King's Shield protects the user from any
Physical
or
Special
moves targeted at it for the rest of the turn.
King's Shield has highly increased priority meaining it will move before most other moves.
If King's Shield goes last in the turn anyway, it will fail.
When King's Shield blocks a contact making attack, the attacker's Attack
is lowered by one stage.
Stats
can be lowered to a minimum of -6 stages each.
A contact making multi strike move such as Arm Thrust only counts once per use.
This is also the case if the user was type-immune to the contact move.
Once blocked, the move will not activate other effects that require contact such as Rocky Helmet
Attackers with the ability Unseen Fist ignore the protection effect of King's Shield with contact moves and do not suffer stat decreases.
King's Shield triggers Aegislash
form change. If the Aegislash has Stance Change and uses King's Shield while in Blade Form, it will change to Shield Form.
Calling King's Shield through another move such as Sleep Talk does not change Aegislash' Form.
Each time King's Shield is successfully and consecutively used, its chances to succeed are lowered by 66.67%. This is also shared with other protection moves that only protect the user, Endure, Quick Guard and Wide Guard.
The list of unprotectable moves is the same as Protect.
Damaging Z-Moves and Max Moves do 25% of the original damage except G-Max One Blow and G-Max Rapid Flow which do full damage.
