Effect Summary
Protects all friendly Pokémon from damaging moves. Only works on the first turn after the user is sent out.
Detailed Effect
Mat Block protects the user's side of the field from most moves.
Mat Block can not protect from Status
moves.
The list of unprotectable moves is the same as Protect.
Most damaging Z-Moves and Max Moves will do 25% of the original damage, excluding G-Max One Blow and G-Max Rapid Flow.
Moves that remove protection effects such as Feint will remove Mat Block and do full damage.
Pokémon with the ability Unseen Fist ignore Mat Block when using a contact move.
