For 5 turns, protects all Pokémon on the ground from major status effects and confusion, and halves the power of incoming Dragon-type moves.

Misty Terrain creates a terrain for 5 turns that changes the field for 5 turns.
A terrain does not affect 'raised' Pokémon.
Misty Terrain has the following effects:

• Terrain Pulse changes to Fairy and doubles its power.
• Increases the power of Misty Explosion by 50%.
• The power of Dragon-type moves is halved against affected targets.
• No major status condition can be applied (but existing ones are not cured).
• Rest fails
• Yawn's sleep is prevented.
• Nature Power turns into Moonblast.
• Secret Power uses the animation of Fairy Wind and lowers the target's Special Attack by one stage.
  Stats can be lowered to a minimum of -6 stages.
• Camouflage makes the user Fairy-type.
• Mimicry makes the user Fairy-type.
• Consumes a Pokémon's held Misty Seed and raises its Special Defense by one stage (even if otherwise unaffected by the terrain).

A held Terrain Extender extends the duration of the terrain from 5 to 8 turns.
Misty Terrain is automatically created when using Max Starfall or when a Pokémon with the ability Misty Surge enters battle.
Any terrain is removed when Splintered Stormshards is used.
