Torment

Prevents the target from using the same move twice in a row.

Torment prevents the target Pokßemon from using the same move twice in a row.
This effect lasts until the the target Pokémon leaves battle.
If the target is forced to only use one move by an effect such as holding a choice item such as Choice Band , or only has one move left with PP remaining or is under the effect of Encore, it will be forced to use Struggle every other turn.
The move Struggle itself can not be prevented by torment.
Continous moves such as Rollout will not be interrupted by Torment.
Pokémon under the effects of Aroma Veil are immune to Torment.
Torment does not prevent the consecutive use of a move through Instruct.
Torment has no effect on Dynamaxed Pokémon.

• In Gen 3-4 Torment can not be reflected by Magic Coat.
• There is a bug in Emerald that disables the effect of Torment for one turn if the target Pokémon hits itself due to confusion .
