Petal Dance

Hits every turn for 2-3 turns, then confuses the user.

Petal Dance attacks for 2-3 turns, during which it cannot switch out, and then becomes confused .
Confused Pokémon have a 33% chance of hurting themselves each turn, for 1-4 attacking turns (50% chance in Generations 1-6).
The damage received is as if the Pokémon attacks itself with a typeless 40 power Physical attack.
If Petal Dance is disrupted then it will stop and not cause confusion .
Petal Dance can be interrupted by:

• Missing
• Sleeping
• Paralysis
• Freeze
• Flinching
• Protected by Protect
• Ghost -type
• Wonder Guard immunity

If the move is disrupted on the final turn when the confusion would have occured, the user will still be confused.
Pokémon with the ability Own Tempo or those behind a Substitute cannot be confused.

• In Gen 1, Petal Dance lasts for 3-4 turns.
• In Gen 1-4 Petal Dance has 20 PP and will not be interrupted by sleep , freeze and flinching
• In Gen 4 Petal Dance has 90 power
