Dragon Darts deals damage twice.

In battles with more than two enemies, Dragon Darts hits two targets for each strike.
Each strike of Double Hit is treated like a separate attack:
Dragon Darts has its own priority list for which enemy Pokémon will take damage:
- 1. If Dragon Darts targets an ally both strikes will hit the ally
- 2. If there is only one enemy both hits will strike that target.
- 3. If the move is redirected by a center of attention effect or move redirecting effect, both strikes will hit that target.
- 4. If there is more than one enemy the first hit will strike the original target and the other hit will target an adjacent enemy.
- 5. If the original target is immune (abilities, protection moves, type immunity) or the move misses the original target, both strikes hit an adjacent enemy.
- 6. If both enemies are immune only the first immunity will be counted.

Each strike of Double Hit is treated like a separate attack:
- Each strike can get a critical hit independently.
- Abilities that activate on contact (Static, Weak Armor, Iron Barbs etc.) activate for each strike.
- If the Sturdy ability,
Focus Sash
, or Focus Band
activates before the final hit, the subsequent hit will still deal damage and therefore cause the target to faint.
- If the first hit breaks a Substitute, the second hit will deal damage to the target Pokémon.
- The move Counter only counters the final hit, but Bide counters the complete damage.
- If the target is wearing a
Rocky Helmet
each strike will hurt the user.
- In this move can not be selected in battle.
