Adds

Ghost to the target's types.

Trick-or-Treat adds the

Ghost -type to the target.
If the target Pokémon was already dual-type, it will then have three types at once.
Trick-or-Treat replaces the

Grass -type added by Forest's Curse.
Trick-or-Treat fails if the target already has the

Ghost -type.
Temporary type changes can also be copied by Reflect Type.

In Brilliant DiamondShining Pearl and from Gen 9 onwards this move can not be selected in battle.
