Copies the target's stat stages.

Psych Up resets the user's stat modifiers and copies the target's stats onto itself.
The stolen stat modifiers are:

• Attack
• Defense
• Special Attack
• Special Defense
• Speed
• Accuracy
• Evasion
• Critical Strike Chance

Stats can be raised to a maximum of +6 stages each or lowered to a minimum of -6 stages.
Psych Up ignores protection effects such as Protect and Detect and bypasses accuracy and evasion checks to always hit except when the target is in the semi-invulnerable turn of moves such as Dig or Fly.

• In Gen 2 Psych Up fails if the target has no raised or lowered stat modifiers.
• In Gen 3 Psych Up can be stolen by Snatch.
• In Gen 2-5 Psych Up does not copy the target's critical strike chance
