Once woken up, Nightmare is cured.
- In Gen 2 there is a bug that using a
Full Heal
or Full Restore
does not cure the Pokémon from the effect of Nightmare.
This only occurs for target's. The player's own curing effects work as intended. - In Gen 3 there is a bug that causes Shed Skin to not cure the Pokémon of the Nightmare effect (it will again receive damage if it falls asleep).
- In Gen 2-3 Nightmare bypasses
accuracy
and evasion
checks to guarantee a hit except in the semi-invulnerable turn of moves such as Dig and Fly.
- From Gen 8 onwards this move can not be selected in battle.
