If the user is holding a Big Root

, the move instead recovers 65% of the damage dealt (a 30% increase!).
If used on a Pokémon with the ability Liquid Ooze, the user instead loses the HP

it would have gained.

In Gen 4 Drain Punch has 5 PP and 60 power.
In Gen 4-5 Drain Punch can be used while affected by Heal Block but will not restore any HP
