The berry will not be consumed if the target has Sticky Hold.

will activate before it can be stolen.
A Sitrus Berry

or Liechi Berry

will be consumed regardless of whether or not the user meets the consumption requirements.
Bug Bite always fails in Max Raid Battles.

In Gen 4 the Bug Bite user will not receive the berry's effect if the target has the ability Klutz or is affected by Embargo.
