Detailed Effect

The user of Solar Beam (formatted as SolarBeam in Gen 1-5) will absorb light (This does nothing except display a message) on the first turn and deal damage on the second turn.
The user is unable to switch out until Solar Beam has been completed or is interrupted. No PP is deducted until the move has been completed.
Solar Beam only counts as the last used move if it is completed.

During harsh sunlight or when holding a Power Herb , Solar Beam executes in one turn.
During rain, hail or a sandstorm its power decreases by 50%.
