Target drops its held item.
Detailed Effect
Knock Off deals damage and tries to remove the target's held item. If it successfully removes an item, the power is doubled.
The removed item will return to the target after battle has ended.
The ability Sticky Hold prevents items from being removed.
Items that activate on attack such as Focus Band
activate before being removed.
Consumable items that activate on being attacked such as Focus Sash
are consumed and therefore can not be removed.
The following items are always unable to be removed:
Wild Pokémon can not remove the user's held item.
Knock Off fails in Max Raid Battles.
Knock Off will not remove items but still do damage in Tera Raid Battles.
