Detailed Effect

Fury Cutter deals damage with a starting power of 40 and doubles for each successful consecutive hit up to a maximum of 160 power.
If Fury Cutter misses for any reason (such as the 5% miss chance or being blocked by protection effects such as Protect) the power will reset to 40.
Fury Cutter's power is increased by 50% when used by a Pokémon with Sharpness.

In Gen 2-4 Fury Cutter has 10 power.
In Gen 5 Fury Cutter has 20 power.
