The target falls in love if it has the opposite gender, becoming infatuated

Attract causes the target Pokémon to become infatuated with the user.
The effect depends on the gender of the Pokémon with the table below showing whether or not it becomes infatuated.

Pokémon with the ability Oblivious or under the effect of Aroma Veil are immune to this effect.
Holding a Mental Herb or Eggant Berry will consume the item and remove the effect even if the Pokémon already has the ability Oblivious.
If the target is holding a Destiny Knot the user will also become infatuated
