• most unprotectable moves as listed in the entry for Protect

Max Guard can not protect from G-Max One Blow, G-Max Rapid Flow and Feint (which still does not remove Max Guard's protection effect).
Max Guard fails if used last in the turn.
Max Guard's chance to succeed drops by 66% each time it or other protection moves are used consecutively.
