Echoed Voice deals damage and its power increases by 40 once per turn for each time it is used consecutively by any Pokémon on the field up to a maximum of 200 power.
Echoed Voice's power is increased even if the move fails or misses.

In Gen 5 Echoed Voice hits a the target's Substitute instead of the target.
