Doom Desire deals damage 2 turns after it was selected.
If the target switches out in the meantime, it will hit the switched in Pokémon.
Doom Desire fails if the target is already affected by it or Future Sight or it misses on the third turn.
Doom Desire ignores protection effects such as Protect or Endure.

• In Gen 3 Doom Desire is categorized as Physical so it uses the Defense stat instead of Special Defense to calculate damage.
• In Gen 3-4 Doom Desire has 120 power, 85% accuracy and Doom Desire's damage is type-less so it ignores type immunities and same-type attack bonus and Pokémon can Endure this move.
  Doom Desire's damage is calculated at the time of selection, not when it actually hits the target.
