Bind

Prevents the target from fleeing and deals damage for 2-5 turns.

Bind deals damage on the first turn then traps the target (preventing them from switching out or fleeing), causing them to lose ⅛ of their maximum HP after each turn, for 4-5 turns.
If the user holds a Grip Claw , the after-effects last for 7 turns.
If a Binding Band is held, the damage is ⅙ of the target's maximum HP .

• In Gen 1 the target can not attack while under its effect.
• In Gen 1-4 Bind has 75% accuracy and the after-effects last for 2-5 turns. Holding Grip Claw extends this to 5 turns.
  The following table shows the likelihood of 2-5 turns:

• In Generations 2-5, the target loses only ¹⁄₁₆ of their maximum HP after each turn, or ⅛ while holding a Binding Band .
• In Gen 5 the accuracy was changed from 75% to 85%
