The encounter location determines the form, with West Sea found west and East Sea found east of Mount Coronet in Sinnoh and Hisui, and in specific provinces in Paldea.
West Sea Shellos is pink and white, while East Sea Shellos is blue and green.
In Paldea's Tera Raid Battles, both forms can be found.
In Sinnoh and Hisui, West Sea appears west of Mount Coronet, and East Sea appears east of it.
In Paldea, West Sea is in West Province, and East Sea is in East and South Provinces.
In other regions, only one form is encountered in the wild per game, with the other obtainable through trading or transfer.
