Detailed Effect
Ally Switch swaps the position of the user with that of the ally on the opposite side.
Ally Switch is an increased priority move meaning that it will move before most other moves.
Ally Switch fails if:
Pokémon that use Snipe Shot or those with the abilities Stalwart or Propeller Tail ignore the position switching effect of Ally Switch and still target the original Pokémon.
Ally Switch is an increased priority move meaning that it will move before most other moves.
Ally Switch fails if:
- the user is in the middle position of a Triple Battle
- in Single Battles
- has no ally on the opposite side
- in Horde Encounters
- In a Rotation Battle
Pokémon that use Snipe Shot or those with the abilities Stalwart or Propeller Tail ignore the position switching effect of Ally Switch and still target the original Pokémon.
- In Gen 5-6 Ally Switch has a priority of +1
- In Gen 5-8 Ally Switch does not fail if another ally has already used the move successfully this turn.
Ally Switch also does not receive the success reducing effect for using it consecutively (success chance halved by 50%).
